Alex Fridlyand joined Basso Capital in 2017. He is responsible for originating and analyzing global convertible securities with a particular emphasis on high yield, distressed and other credit sensitive areas.
Previously Alex was a Senior Credit Analyst at Davidson Kempner Capital Management where he was responsible for all fundamental research and credit analysis related to the $1.5 billion global convertible and capital structure arbitrage portfolio. Prior to Davidson Alex was a Director and research analyst on BNP Paribas' convertible bond desk. He also served as Director and credit analyst at Access Securities focused on event driven, distressed debt and convertible securities. Alex began his career as a convertible bond trader and a proprietary portfolio manager at Morgan Stanley.
Alex received a B.A. in Ethics, Politics and Economics with distinction from Yale University.
